What to expect for your in-chair teeth whitening experience?
Tooth whitening (or bleaching) is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment used to improve the colour of natural tooth enamel and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile.
In-chair whitening is usually covered over two appointments. The initial appointment is for an exam, scale & clean and for the dentist to discuss & approve the whitening treatment. The initial check-up appointment will be ~45-60 mins, with the second appointment (in-chair whitening) taking ~60mins. After isolating any soft tissue (gums and cheeks), a concentrated whitening gel is applied to the teeth and then activated with a special light which safely whitens the teeth. This method is convenient and is effective in having an immediate result.

How much will it actually cost?
Example
Our in chair whitening treatment will be discounted down by 50% to $650 as part of this offer. However, the great news is that if you have extra’s private health insurance, we deduct your rebate from the $650 which then leaves the amount you pay – your out of pocket expense.
For example, if your extra insurance benefit for the whitening is $375, your out of pocket expense will be $275 – no more to pay. Whitening special $650 – (minus) health insurance benefit of $375 = $275

Important to know
Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate the need for replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations if needed will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.
The effectiveness of treatment varies. Our dentists will examine your teeth to determine if teeth whitening will be a suitable and effective option for you.

Whilst we are preferred providers for the above health funds, we accept all health funds and are able to claim on the day if the patient brings their health insurance card. We also accept Department of Veteran Affairs & Medicare patients who can also claim on the day if they present the relevant cards.
