Dental Esthetique offer patients that are members of all health insurers Custom Mouth-guards with no gap payment regardless of fund or age.
Choose up to three colours and benefit from a custom made mouth-guard for you & your family with no out of pocket costs. This is separate to our No-Gap Kids services offerings for members with our preferred providers HBF, Medibank, NIB, HCF & CBHS.
Typically a mouthguard impression appointments takes around 10-15 mins and a Mouthguards take around 2 weeks to produce but can sometimes be quicker depending on the sporting season, volume and capacity from our suppliers

A custom-fitted mouthguard works by absorbing and spreading the impact of the damaging blow, and is fabricated based on an impression of your teeth and jaw.
A mouthguard that is custom-fitted by your dentist is far superior to an over-the-counter mouthguard because it’s specially designed to fit the exact contours of your mouth, is resilient, balances your bite and allows speech and normal breathing. If properly used, stored, and checked by your dentist every year, a custom-fitted mouthguard should last several seasons.
In contrast, self-fitted, over-the-counter mouthguards, which include what are commonly known as boil-and-bite mouthguards, should not be used. They do not protect the teeth, are loosely fitted, impede breathing and speaking, and can even wedge in the back of the throat at impact which could be life threatening.

We are preferred providers for the following health funds. As a preferred provider you will be entitled to the maximum allowable benefit from your health fund for all services at our practice.
Whilst we are preferred providers for the above health funds, we accept all health funds and are able to claim on the day if the patient brings their health insurance card. We also accept Department of Veteran Affairs & Medicare patients who can also claim on the day if they present the relevant cards.
